You can take great pictures no matter where you are or at what focal length. Let's take five different types of shots in the same place and show you what they can do.

Dongguan fisheye lens tells the unique deformation effect can bring us a different visual experience.

Symmetrical composition works best with circular fisheye lenses

Like wide-angle lenses, fisheye lenses can record the same wide scenes, but the final product is more personalized due to its unique fisheye morphing effect. The fisheye lens subverts our usual shooting thinking mode, and traditional composition techniques are all in vain in front of this lens, which plays no role. If you want the same subject to look the same in the frame as you would with a normal lens, you have to hold it in front of your nose. The contorted lines also make it impossible to frame a fisheye lens in a way that works well on other lenses.

After experimenting with a range of composition methods, we found that the most useful composition is symmetrical composition, which has produced many successful shots. I think the symmetry works because of the spherical distortion of the fisheye lens.

Fisheye lenses are divided into two types: full fisheye and round fisheye. A full-size fisheye lens covers the entire photoreceptor, while a circular fisheye lens covers only one round part of the photoreceptor, with the rest of the area covered by a black frame. The effect depends on the lens design as well as the size of the sensor in a digital SLR camera. The same fisheye lens installed on a non-full-frame SLR camera will have completely different effects from that installed on a full-frame SLR camera. Therefore, when purchasing fisheye lens, you must consider the frame of your camera, and when purchasing a non-full-frame SLR, you must also consider the possibility of future upgrades. For example, the 8mm fisheye lens of Sima can obtain a complete circular imaging circle in a full-frame camera, but when used in a non-full-frame SLR camera, the shooting effect is between the circular fisheye and the full-frame fisheye.

Fisheye lenses get their name because of their unique distortion effect. While we try to avoid distortion and even use software for post-correction, fisheye lenses find a way to make exaggerated distortion their biggest feature. The effect of the fisheye lens distorting a straight line increases gradually from the center to the periphery, until the edge of the picture is completely curved.

When shooting with a fisheye lens, you should frame as close to your subject as possible, otherwise everything will look very small in the photo. Generally speaking, even with a wide-angle lens, we are at least a meter away from the subject. People who are used to this kind of shooting will feel very uncomfortable when they first get a fisheye lens. But if you want to experience the unique world of the fisheye lens, go ahead.

Symmetrical exposure

Because the picture shot by fisheye lens is too wide, including the sky, the ground and the sun, it is easy to cause uneven exposure of the picture. With a fisheye lens protruded in front of the lens, there is no way to use filters such as medium grey to balance the light, so the result can easily be a very high light ratio. To avoid this problem, the best solution is to shoot in RAW format and then balance the brightness of highlights and shadows with Adobe Camera Raw's restore and fill glossy blocks. In extreme cases, such as backlighting, it may be necessary to take several shots and then merge them together. In the photo below, we can see that there is a significant difference in brightness between the left and right sides of the sky in the original image. We used the left column to block the sun, but there are still parts of the sky that are overexposed. After the adjustment, the overall sky area is more evenly exposed.

The above is the fisheye lens manufacturer described some simple use, hope to help you.
